Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Austria: Q3 2023 Performance

Throughout the third quarter of 2023, the performance of top navigation and maps apps on the iOS platform in Austria showcased varying trends in downloads, active users, and revenue. Here, we break down the performance of the leading five apps.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at around 13.5K in mid-July and fluctuating between 8.8K and 12.4K for the remainder of the quarter. The app consistently attracted over 1.2M weekly active users, although there was a slight decline from 1.3M at the start of the quarter to 1.27M by the end.

Google Earth saw steady weekly downloads, ranging from 1.4K to 1.7K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users showed a minor decline from 12.7K in late June to about 11.5K by the end of September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced an increase in weekly downloads, reaching up to 2K in mid-August before stabilizing around 1.3K by the end of the quarter. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with approximately 64K users, down from a peak of 70K in early July.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS demonstrated significant revenue, peaking at approximately $3.6K in the last week of July. Weekly downloads ranged from 1K to 1.7K, while weekly active users increased from 5.7K in late June to around 6.6K by the end of September.

ÖAMTC had a consistent download rate, peaking at 1.5K in early July but declining to around 900 downloads per week by the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users also saw a decrease, from 4.2K in early July to 3.5K by late September. Revenue remained minimal, averaging around $2 to $4 per week.
